Week 13 Playoff Picture

Finally! Some clarity.  As you’ve already seen on the home page, 4 of the 6 playoff spots are now set. Rich’s win moves the Rumrunners into the postseason, as does In Too Deep’s squad (albeit more complicated for Jim).  Here’s the skinny:

If Dave beats Big D, he’s in.  If the Beagles come up short, Big D and Mas Tequila are in.  It’s amazing the impact of that tie…

Jay and Jim still control their destiny and would clinch with wins.  A Tequila win also gives them the division crown and the coveted first round bye.  A loss by Jim doesn’t matter, as he controls the tiebreaker with Jay and in a 3-way tie with Big D. Jay ends up in the weirdest spot: a win gives him the division; a loss leaves him needing help from Big D to just make the show.

Week 11 Playoff Picture

Well, apparently it's too early to have any sort of playoff picture. The disappointing seasons of Teacher's Pets & Fighting Buttstains mean that they have more than their fair share of the league's losses. While this eliminates both from playoff contention, it also means that all of the other teams still have a shot to make it. Not everyone controls their destiny, but 8 of the 10 teams are still alive. We'll know more after week 11 and some key divisional match-ups take place:

Rich is in pretty good shape after finally earning a skin and goes out of division again Iron Chefs in a game that the kitchen help desperately needs on the heels of a 2 game losing streak.

The Juggernauts and Beagles go at it mano-a-mano in a key Beer Nuts tilt. Both teams are in pretty good shape, with Dave's tie giving him a slight advantage over his rivals, but a win goes a long way to securing a playoff berth. Jason meanwhile is looking toward that first round bye and a win clinches another trip to the playoffs.

Big D is having a good season, but at .500 they need to end their 3 game skid with a win against the struggling Buttstains to begin a playoff run.

The Bushwackers are not experiencing any expansion team jitters and sit atop their division. They also would like to secure a first round bye, but will have to get by Teacher's Pets who are looking to ride their current winning streak another week.

Mas Tequila and In Too Deep have one of the better week 11 tilts with the winner taking control of their destiny. The resurgent Cuervo's are looking to be the Bengals of the league and go to the playoffs after a long (ie. never) drought.
